<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly form image on a medium intended by an operator. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device has a plurality of medium trays, a size detection part for detecting dimension in a first direction to a third direction of the medium, a storage part recording dimension in the first direction to the third direction per medium tray, and a tray switching processing means for switching the medium trays based on dimension in a first direction to a third direction of a medium set on the medium tray used currently and the dimension in the first direction to the third direction recorded in the storage part when switching the medium trays.
