PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage location information of an object over a wide range area.

SOLUTION: A location information management server connected with other location information management servers through a network is equipped with: a storage section which stores addresses of other location information management servers, and an ID correspondence management table which matches a tag ID which identifies a tag and a UID which identifies an object; a tag reception processing section which performs processing of receiving information transmitted from a reader which has detected a tag; a determination section which determines whether the tag ID contained in the received information is held in the ID correspondence management table; a request transmission section which transmits a request to send a UID corresponding to the tag ID to the other location information management server specified by the address stored in the storage section when it is determined that the tag ID is not held in the ID correspondence management table; and a UID reception section which receives the UID corresponding to the tag ID from the location information management server of a transmission destination.
