PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable fetching of various grammar attributes and translation knowledge in a system dictionary to a user dictionary on a user side.

SOLUTION: This device comprises a dictionary part 16 having the system dictionary 17 storing basic knowledge for translating a natural language sentence of a first language to a natural language sentence of a second language and the user dictionary 18 storing unique terms registered by the user; a dictionary registration part 21 registering a new registration word to the user dictionary, using all or a part of registration contents of registered words in the system dictionary 17; and a translation part 20 for translating the natural language sentence of the first language to the natural language sentence of the second language, using the knowledge in the dictionary part 16.
