PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of both suppressing liquid stagnation of an alignment film and securing display quality.

SOLUTION: First color filters 22B which transmit blue light having the lowest visibility among light beams of the primary colors are arrayed and formed in a Y direction, and second color filters 22R which transmit red light are arrayed and formed in the Y direction; and the first color filters 22B and second color filters 22R are arranged adjacently in a X direction; and groove parts 80 formed on a liquid crystal thickness adjusting layer 24 from a transmission area T a reflection area R and spacers 51 are arranged at boundary parts between the first color filters 22B and second color filters 22R.
