<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the neck protection performance for an occupant taking a driver's seat. <P>SOLUTION: A tucking up part 26 is provided on an upper part 12A of an airbag 12 and a temporarily sewing part 18 is broken by a predetermined bag inflation pressure. Thereby, thickness of the upper part 12A of the airbag 12 at initial state of occupant restriction is made thin (t1<t2) and a jaw part Q of the occupant is brought into contact with an occupant restriction surface 22A in that state. The thickness of the upper part 12A is varied from t1 to t2 by succeeding inflation/deployment to be thick and the jaw part Q of the occupant is downwardly displaced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
