PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight detector for an occupant not disturbing weight measurement in a load cell. SOLUTION: In this weight detector for the occupant arranged with a pair of slide rails and the load cells in four corners of a slidable seat: a pair of side frames 3a, 3b for supporting the seat is constituted into a rectangular frame shape of rigid seat frame 30; the paired load cells 1 positioned on one orthogonal line are movable vertically, out of the four load cells 1 interposed between the seat frame 30; and the pair of slide rails 2a, 2b, and the paired load cells 1 positioned on the other orthogonal line are movable vertically and floatingly.
