PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method with which a 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propanol derivative can be obtained from a 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid derivative having a plurality of ester groups in high yield and high purity. SOLUTION: The method for producing the 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propanol derivative is characterized as follows.
