An apparatus for disposing food waste by using microorganisms is provided to prevent an odor from being discharged when a user opens a door to put food waste, by installing an auxiliary door, and minimize power consumption by preventing unnecessary operation. A housing(10) has a door(20) at an upper part. A decomposing tank(40) is mounted in the housing, filled with bio chips(44) having microorganisms for decomposing food. An agitating unit is horizontally installed at a lower part of the decomposing tank, having a rotary shaft rotated by a driving motor and a plurality of agitating blades(52) mounted at the rotary shaft and rotating with the rotary shaft for mixing food and the bio chips. A deodorizing unit is installed on a pipe connecting a suction port(41) and an inlet port(42) formed at an upper part of the decomposing tank for purifying malodorous gas introduced through the suction port and supplying the purified gas to the decomposing tank. A controller(70) is connected with a display part(D) and operating buttons(B) formed at an outside of the housing, and controls the agitating unit and the deodorizing unit. An auxiliary door(30) has a gate(31) opened and shut by a motor(33), arranged between the door and the decomposing tank for temporarily storing food to be put into the decomposing tank. A door opening/closing sensor(S1) senses opening and closing of the door. |
