SOLUTION: A brightness correction section 71 in the imaging apparatus 100 comprises an index calculation section 74 for calculating a natural light index for expressing the degree of outdoor photographing by the natural light of photographed image data, a luminance ratio index for expressing the level of the dynamic range of the photographed image data, and an exposure index for expressing the degree of exposure photographing caused by exposure setting in photographing; a section 75 for calculating the amount of correction of brightness for setting a plurality of temporary correction quantities to the photographed image data, based on the brightness analysis value of photographed image data and the reproduction target value of brightness, setting a mixture coefficient as a weighting factor to be multiplied to each of the plurality of temporary correction quantities based on the natural light index, and calculating the amount of correction of brightness in the photographed image data, based on the mixture coefficient and the plurality of temporary correction quantities; and a brightness correction curve generation section 76 for generating a brightness correction curve for converting the photographed image data, based on the amount of brightness correction and each index calculated by the index calculation section 74.
