PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge the attributes of a document delicately even if the histogram of metrics value of the entire image data obtained by scanning a document is not acquired. SOLUTION: Image data obtained by scanning a document is divided into a plurality of block image data and then the divided block image data is analyzed in order to individually specify an image written by the block image data having an attribute of "character", "design", "ground", or "other".
