PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long magnet molding which can be arranged at a development pole of a magnet roller with high positioning precision without affected by a burr generated during molding. SOLUTION: In a rare earth magnet block 1 having the long magnet molding, a magnet compound 19 including magnetic powder and thermoplastic resin particulate is filled up in a pair of split molds 15a and 15b which are freely closed and separated from each other to form a cavity 16 by being brought into contact with each other, and molded by compressing in a magnetic field. The rare earth magnet block 1 includes, on a bottom surface 31, a recess 30 formed along a longitudinal direction of the rare earth magnet block 1 while bridging both of splits 17 of a pair of the split molds 15a and 15b, and further formed by a protrusion 18 protruded toward the cavity 16. In the rare earth magnet block 1, the surface where the burr is generated is formed in concave rather than a contacting surface to a chuck when positioned and held by the chuck, so that the burr does not interfere with the chuck.
