PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a superconductive wire rod in which manufacturing cost can be reduced and mechanical strength of the superconductive wire rod can also be improved, and to provide a superconductive apparatus including the superconductive wire rod obtained by that method. SOLUTION: The method includes a step in which a superconductive layer is formed on a substrate or on an intermediate layer formed on the substrate, a step in which a silver stabilized layer is formed on the superconductive layer, a step in which the substrate after the superconductive layer and the silver stabilized layer are formed is immersed in a copper sulfate aqueous solution, and a step in which a copper stabilized layer is formed on the silver stabilized layer by electro-plating using the copper sulfate aqueous solution as a plating bath.
