PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for which deformation due to a winding pressure of a magnetic tape or the like is reduced and a recording tape cartridge at a low cost. SOLUTION: By constituting the outer surface side of a lower flange 46 including the bottom part 44 of a hub 40 by a metal plate 60, the rigidity of the lower flange 46 is increased and strength is increased. Thus, the deformation of the lower flange 46 due to the tightening force of the magnetic tape T is prevented and the deformation of the reel 10 itself is prevented. Also, since the metal plate 60 and the inner surface side of the lower flange 46 are integrated by insertion molding, the need of using screws or the like is eliminated and work processes are not increased.
