摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the amount of cylinder intake fresh air even in a long valve overlapping period, while considering the lowering of exhaust gas pressure due to backflow of burnt gas from an exhaust system. SOLUTION: In this device, a cylinder model M5 calculates cylinder gas pressure Pc from an intake valve passing gas flow amount mi calculated by an intake valve model M4 and an exhaust valve passing gas flow amount me calculated by an exhaust valve model M6. The exhaust valve model M6 calculates the exhaust valve passing gas flow amount me from the cylinder gas pressure Pc and exhaust gas pressure Pe. The intake valve model M4 calculates the intake valve passing gas flow amount mi from the cylinder gas pressure Pc and intake pipe air pressure Pm calculated by an intake pipe model M3. The intake valve passing gas flow amount Mi is integrated to estimate a fresh cylinder intake air amount Ma. The exhaust gas pressure Pe is given while considering the lowering of the exhaust gas pressure Pe due to the backflow of burnt gas from an exhaust passage into a cylinder in the valve overlapping period which is obtained by using a parameter showing the conditions of opening/closing an intake valve and an exhaust valve.
