The invention relates to a device for filling with controllable numbers of electronic components (3) an elongate holder (6) for such components, comprising a guide (2) leading to a loading position of an elongate holder (6) , placing means for placing the components on the guide, and transport means for transporting (7, 8) the components from the guide and into the elongate holder, wherein the transport means are adapted to transport a controllable number of components (3) from the guide and into the elongate holder (6) . Using such a device it is possible to place a random number of components into an elongate holder, and incompletely filled holders, and thereby a less effective use of the available transport capacity of the holders, is avoided. |
