<p>The method involves placing a shim device (7) for measuring a magnetic field for ground field magnets (6) in a central magnetic field area. A field behavior and a passive correction of an inhomogeneity of a magnetic resonance tomograph are determined based on measurement results. A winding device (5) comprising a plate and/or housing is controlled based on control currents determined from the passive correction for each coil. An anew determination of the field behavior and a passive correction to be carried out for further reduction of the inhomogeneity are performed with the currents. An independent claim is also included for a winding device designed for use with a method for determination of a passive correction of an inhomogeneity of a magnetic resonance tomograph, which is designed as a C-bend.</p> |
