The valve has a valve housing (22), and a valve body rotatable with in the valve housing around a rotary axis (24). An inlet port (36) is connected with an internal combustion engine. A coolant port (38) and bypass port (40) are connected with coolant and bypass branches (8, 14) of a coolant circuit, respectively. Center lines (48, 50, 52) of the respective ports (36, 38, 40) lie in a level perpendicular to the rotary axis, where angle between the center lines (48, 50) is greater than 90 degree.
