The device (1) has a vibration absorber (2) with two oscillation damping bodies (4), which are connected with each other by a connection rod (5). The vibration absorber is designed as a passive vibration absorber and as an oscillation unit. A retainer (3) is fastened with the motor vehicle, and is provided for retaining the vibration absorber. The vibration absorber and the retainer are modularly connected over a retaining region. The oscillation damping bodies are formed as geometrical bodies in cylindrical, cuboid or cube shape, where each damping body exhibits a connection region.
