An interior construction material having a carpet layer is provided to secure sound absorption, flame retardant, antimicrobial, and water repellent functions by selectively adding a functional layer. The interior construction sound absorption material(1) comprises a carpet layer(11) having the surface made of nylon, PP(Polypropylene), PTT(Polytrimethylene Terephthalate), or PET(Polyethylene Terephthalate) and formed in a pile shape; an absorbing layer(13) joined to the carpet layer; and an adhesive layer(12) for bonding the carpet layer and the absorbing layer. An effective surface area of the carpet layer is 20~150m^2 to the absorbing layer of 1m^2. The density of the carpet layer is 50~300kg/m^3. The density of the absorbing layer is 10~300kg/m^3. The absorbing layer is selected from a group comprising melanin foam, urethane foam, felts, non-woven fabrics, and mineral wools.
