摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that replacement of a cold-cathode tube is troublesome in a conventional illumination device in which a plurality of cold-cathode tubes are built in that are used in backlight units or the like of a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: This illumination device is provided with a base board 11 that is installed with a power source circuit 13 on the rear face side, connectors 17a, 17b which are fixed on the surface of this base board 11 and connected to the power source circuit 13, lamp sockets 16a, 16b which are detachably coupled with these connectors 17a, 17b and contact pins 18a, 18b which are mounted on these lamp sockets 16a, 16b conducted to the connectors 17a, 17b and to which dimet wires 15 of the cold-cathode tubes 14 are removably connected, while attachment and detachment of the cold-cathode tubes 14 can be carried out from the surface side of the base board 11, so that the high frequency noise occurring in the power source circuit 13 can be shielded by the base board 11 interposed between the power source circuit 13 and the display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
