PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upload program which uploads a reduced image data for browsing by a portable device to a server, and an image browsing method for browsing an image based on the reduced image data by the portable device. SOLUTION: A computer is made to function as an authentication information reading means 16 which reads authentication information from a mounted recording medium; a data creation means 17 which creates the reduced image data based on image data recorded beforehand in the recording medium, or input image data according to necessity; and an upload means 19 which uploads reduced image data recorded in the recording medium beforehand, or created reduced image data and authentication information, when the authentication information is recorded in the recording medium to a special server determined beforehand. By the method, it is possible to simply upload the reduced image data to the special server, and it is possible to simply and safely download the uploaded reduced image data.
