PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change device enabling the confirmation of a speed change position without shifting the sight line. SOLUTION: The speed change device 16 is mounted on a bicycle, and comprises a fixed part 30, a movable part 32, and a speed change position instruction unit 34. The fixed part 30 is mounted on the bicycle. The movable part 32 is movable with respect to the fixed part 30, and stopped at the position corresponding to a plurality of speed change positions of the speed change device. The speed change position instruction unit 34 is moved interlockingly with the movable part 32, and arranged on an index unit 40 capable of recognizing the position by the tactile feeling and the fixed part 30 adjacent to the index part 40, and has a reference part 42 capable of recognizing the position by the tactile feeling, and recognizing at least one speed change position of a rear derailleur 18 according to the positions of the index part 40 and the reference part 42 by the tactile feeling.
