PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor system with a shock absorbing mechanism capable of achieving further miniaturization and light weight, and sufficiently securing a stroke width. SOLUTION: A hollow disc-like rib member 20 projecting inward in a radial direction is provided on an inner periphery of a non-rotary side case 3a of a motor, and a notch part 20k is provided to the rib member 20. The cross section shape of the non-rotary side case 3a is formed by integrating a receiving part 14a having the cross section shape of the notch part 20k with arc-like mounting parts 14b, 14c for mounting the receiving part 14a on both sides of the notch part 20k. Upper and lower receiving members 14, 14 for guide for receiving a rod 12b which is a movable part of a linear guide 12 with a spring, a spring member 12B, and a rod 13b of a second linear guide 13 are arranged on the notch part 20k, so as to sufficiently secure a stroke width of the shock absorbing mechanism 10.
