PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cabinet that has a simple, waterproof electric wire section using no grommet. SOLUTION: The cabinet has an electric wire drawer section 16 at a commissure of a case 10 and a lid 12, wherein the electric wire drawer section 16 is provided in a direction of the commissure's wall thickness alternately with a vertically long elliptic passage 20 whose long axis is oriented toward a direction at right angle with a direction of the commissure and with a horizontally long elliptic passage 22 whose long axis is oriented to the direction of the commissure. A major axis L of the vertically long elliptic passage 20 and the horizontally long elliptic passage 22 is set to be bigger than the electric wire's outer diameter d, and a minor axis S is set to be smaller than the electric wire's outer diameter d. The vertically long elliptic passage 20 is made up of a combination of a deep groove 32 formed on one side of the commissure 14a and a shallow groove 34 formed on the opposite side thereof, while on the other hand, the horizontally long elliptic passage 22 is made up of a combination of semi-elliptic grooves 36 and 36 formed equally deep on both sides of the commissure 14b.
