PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a theft prevention device for a vending machine, capable of firmly fixing an anti-theft panel and surely preventing direct forced insertion of a bar or the like to a joint face between an outer door and a body cabinet. SOLUTION: The theft prevention device for a vending machine comprises the body cabinet 1, the single swing outer door 2 openably and closably supported on the front surface of the cabinet 1 by a hinge 2a, and the anti-theft panel 12 covering the joint face between the outer door 2 and an outer box 1a of the cabinet from the outside. The anti-theft panel 12 comprises: an eaves part 12a covering the joint face between the outer door 2 and the outer box 1a of the cabinet 1 from the outside; and forked mounting base parts 12b and 12c extending from the eaves part 12a, one mounting base part 12b being fixed to a door frame of the outer door, and the other mounting base part 12c being inserted between an outer hull of the outer door 2 and the door frame 21 of the outer door 2.
