MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dividing method for a mother panel that can prevent chipping during inversion. SOLUTION: A first cut line 41 is provided only on a side S in a longitudinal direction of a main seal 8 of a first mother substrate 32 of a mother panel 35 and a second cut line 42 is provided entirely in the longitudinal direction between main seals 8 of the first mother substrate 32. Stress due to lateral flexure generated when the mother panel 35 is turned over can be dispersed from the first cut line 41 and concentrated on the second cut line 42. A thickness-directional shift of the first mother substrate 32 is generated not on the first cut line 41, but only on the second cut line 42. An end part of an effective display part 6 of a liquid crystal display panel 2 not at an external shape line only chips.
