PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly efficient cooling configuration for power source system substrates and reduce the size of an image projector. SOLUTION: The image projector includes: an external case 21; and a first substrate 8 and second substrate 10 disposed in the external case and composing a power source system. The first and second substrates are disposed so that at least a part of the first substrate and a part of the second substrate are overlapped with each other in the direction of their thickness. An opening 21b through which air for cooling both the substrates is made in an area of at least one of the first and second substrates in the external case, which area extends in a vertical direction from the face of the one substrate.
