PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite structure very reduced in microgaps from which gas is gradually emitted. SOLUTION: The composite structure 10 comprises: a base material 11 made of metal, ceramic, resin or a composite material thereof; a structure 12 made of a brittle material formed on the surface thereof by an aerosol deposition process; and a thin film 13 of one or more kinds selected from transition metal carbides, transition metal nitrides, transition metal borides and diamond like carbon and formed on the surface thereof.
