PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure impact energy absorption by a hood ridge reinforcement and a pillar outer portion after a vehicle body receives an impact from the front side. SOLUTION: A stepped portion 33 displacing inward in a vehicle cross direction is formed at a front portion in a vehicle body front/rear direction of the pillar outer portion 12 constituting a front pillar 3. Furthermore, a rear end 45a in the vehicle body front/rear direction of the hood ridge reinforcement 45 is jointed to a stepped portion side surface 33a serving as an outer side surface in the vehicle cross direction of the stepped portion 33.
