摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which solves a shortage of a refrigerant in a refrigerating cycle accompanying a retention phenomenon without increasing the amount of the refrigerant and installing a liquid reservoir, reduces damage of a compressor 1 due to backing of liquid, is capable of avoiding deterioration of performance due to pressure rise, and in the worst case, abnormal stops such as a high voltage protection, and has a merit in cost. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is equipped with the refrigerating cycle having the compressor 1, an outdoor solenoid valve 2, an outdoor condenser 3, a throttle device 5, and a cooling device 6 connected sequentially by refrigerant pipes, and further, an indoor solenoid valve 7, an indoor condenser 8, and an indoor condenser check valve 9 are connected sequentially by the refrigerant pipes branching from between the compressor 1 and the outdoor solenoid valve 2. The air conditioner is also equipped with a control part 103 for controlling the outdoor solenoid valve 2 and the indoor solenoid valve 7 and performs a preparatory operation of the compressor 1, and the shortage of refrigerant in the refrigerating cycle can be solved by performing the preparatory operation without having to provide a liquid reservoir on the high pressure side of the refrigerating cycle.
