An optical transmitter 21-i (i = 1 to n; n represents a natural number) transmits a data signal developing a specific spectrum at a predetermined frequency, while an optical receiver 24-I detects amplitude information on the spectrum included in the data signal to control the received data signal to a constant amplitude on the basis of the detected amplitude information. This can provide an optical communication system and an optical receiver capable of functioning well even if the optical S/N is in a poor condition. <IMAGE> |
