YEAST HAVING INCREASED COPY NUMBER rDNA AND UTILIZATION OF THE YEAST

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yeast having a stably increased copy number rDNA (ribosomal DNA) in a yeast cell, to provide a method for breeding the yeast and to provide a method for producing an enzyme and a food using the yeast.

SOLUTION: The yeast having the increased copy number rDNA in the yeast cell is obtained by making a yeast in which an Fob1 protein encoded by an FOB1 gene does not function hold a segmented chromosome composed of the rDNA.
