BUMPER STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper structure for a vehicle for preventing damage of a car body by restraining deformation of a bumper reinforcement end by a relatively light collision by strengthening rigidity of the car outside end of a bumper reinforcement of a cross-sectional hat shape. SOLUTION: The bumper reinforcement 1 and an installation plate 2 are formed in a closed cross section by arranging the installation plate 2 extending up to the end 13 from an installation position to the car body 3 nearer to the center in the longitudinal direction than the end 13 on both right and left sides and respectively joining the upper end 21 and the lower end 22 to the upper edge 11 and the lower edge 12 of the bumper reinforcement 1 in the cross-sectional substantially hat-shaped bumper reinforcement 1 of opening on the car body 3 side. Damage to the car body 3 is prevented by restraining the deformation of the bumper reinforcement end 13 in a light collision by strengthening the rigidity of the end 13 of the bumper reinforcement 1 by the installation plate 2.
