PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which can print information especially using ink for overcoating and which can prevent the leakage of printed information in relation to a printing device which performs printing by superposing ink for thermal transfer type printing and ink for overcoating by a thermal head on a medium to be recorded. SOLUTION: A CPU 111 superposes and prints each color primary color inks Y, C, and performs full-color printing based on printing data (S1-S7). Then, an overcoat layers 91 is formed of a transparent overcoat ink OP containing a predetermined quantity of an ultraviolet absorber (S8, S9) to a part other than a part on which the detail of information recording is printed based on the information recording data, and an information recording layer 92 is formed of transparent information recording ink I for information recording containing the ultraviolet absorber in a quantity twice as much as or more than the quantity of the overcoat ink OP (S10, S11) into the part on which the content of information recording is printed.
