PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive planting pot of high mechanical strength, to provide a method for easily producing the same in high moldability, and to provide a machine for producing the same. SOLUTION: The planting pot is composed of waste cotton lap. The method for producing the planting pot comprises heating waste cotton lap and making compression molding of the waste cotton lap. The apparatus for producing the planting pot is constructed of a pair of upper and lower molds equipped with a temperature controller, a pressing means 4 for pressing the upper mold, and an upper mold 5 and/or a lower mold 7 with a gas inlet 8 for releasing the planting pot as the final molded product.
