A guidewire loader catheter for delivering a guidewire across a bifurcation in a blood vessel, including a method of use, is provided. The guidewire loader catheter includes a catheter shaft having a first tube, with a first lumen extending therethrough, a second tube, with a second lumen extending therethrough, and a torque means for controlling the catheter shaft. The second tube has a longitudinal length generally less than the longitudinal length of the first tube. A main vessel guidewire is inserted through the first lumen of the first tube and then a branching vessel guidewire is inserted through the second lumen of the second tube to be delivered across the bifurcation. |
