Disk brake with composite cast iron disk support (3) (sic), friction disks (1, 2), brake disk casing (10), where the friction disks are made from a metallic friction material of higher corrosion resistance than the cast iron disks. At least one of the friction disks (1,2) has a connection region (9) which joins the composite brake disk to the casing (10)(sic). The cast iron disk (3) is cast integrally between the friction disks. An independent claim is included for a method of producing the disk brake.
