<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat in which a side airbag can be mounted to an outer side of a seat upholstered portion of a back rest and a cover can be designed as a separate constitution part not requiring any additional cover. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle seat 1 having the back rest 4 and the seat 3, a side airbag module 14 usually covered by the cover 20 is mounted to an adaptor 12 connected to a back rest shell 6 as a retaining structure article of the back rest 4 through a connector 16. The cover 20 is provided with a first hinge 22 and a second hinge 26 for releasing the side airbag by moving with a predetermined rupture portion 24 for releasing the side airbag when the side airbag module 14 is operated and is mounted to an outer side not upholstered and not covered of the back rest shell 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
