<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate user operation when setting various items. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic musical instrument 1 comprises: execution parts 14, 15, 16, 17 for executing operation functions corresponding to operations of input devices 5, 6 among from functions executable for the electronic musical instrument; a function database 11 making a plurality of functions corresponding to a plurality of machine types; and a machine type selector 12 for selecting a selection machine type out of the plurality of machine types based on the operation of the input device 6 for setting. At such a time, when a selection function corresponding to a selection machine type includes operation functions of the execution parts 14, 15, 16, 17, the execution parts execute their operation functions, but when not including, the execution parts do not execute their operation functions.
