<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo decoding system capable of reducing the power consumption by improving the turbo decoding performance at HARQ repeating and decreasing the number of turbo decoding times. <P>SOLUTION: Turbo external information before the HARQ repeating calculated by an external value calculation section 17 is not discarded, but rather is stored in a memory 19, and in the case of the HARQ repeating, a switch 20 is switched to reuse the external information stored in the memory 19 as initial information for pathmetric calculation sections (Alpha calculation section 13, Beta calculation section 14) for the turbo decoding. By reusing the external information calculated before the HARQ repeating, in this way at the HARQ repeating, can improve the decoding performance.
