<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it takes time to perform the processing operation of an aberration correcting element in the interlayer movement of a multilayer disk and in a device initialization operation in an optical disk device needing the aberration correcting element for correcting a spherical aberration. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device using a pickup comprises a focus actuator for moving an objective lens in a disk rotary shaft direction, a tracking actuator for moving the objective lens in a disk radial direction, an aberration correcting means for correcting the aberration and a feed means for moving the pickup in the disk radial direction, and the control operation of the aberration correcting means and the control operation of the feed means are performed in parallel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
