<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact sheet feeding device having a simple constitution while it is equipped with a plurality of sheet storage parts and provide a compact image forming device equipped with the described sheet feeding device. <P>SOLUTION: Guide rolls 34 are installed while a sheet feed roll 30 is installed in the middle across the width, i.e. between the guide rolls 34, which enables smooth setting and removal of a cassette 12 without interference of the guide rolls 34 with the sheet feed roll 30 originating from insertion of the cassette 12. Therein a sheet P is fed being nipped by the sheet feed roll 30 approximately in its middle across the width, and there is a risk of interfering with the guide rolls 34 as the leading edged of the sheet P is recessed in the direction of being pressed by the sheet feed roll 30 (here, to below). Therefore, a guide plate 18 is installed downstream in the sheet transporting direction of the sheet feed roll 30 and a separation roll 20 for preventing the sheet P from being recessed, and it is possible to preclude a jam due to the sheet P running against the guide rolls 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
