PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced plastic molded article which has a high shielding effect against heat rays and can easily be produced, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This fiber-reinforced plastic molded article 1 is characterized by comprising a gel coat layer 2, a backup coat layer 3, a reinforcing fiber layer 4, and an impregnation resin layer 5. Especially, heat ray-reflecting particles are dispersed and arranged in at least one of the layers. The heat ray-reflecting particles are preferably at least one kind of ceramic particles, hollow ceramic particles, titanium dioxide particles, vanadium oxide particles, and silicide particles.
