PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color solid-state imaging device having an improved smear characteristic, and also a camera having the solid-state imaging device. SOLUTION: In the solid-state imaging device wherein a plurality of types of color filters 30R, 30G, and 30B having different wavelength bands of transmission light are positioned for each pixel 8; each pixel 8 has a light receiver 5 formed on a substrate 10, a transfer channel 7 adjacent to the light receiver 5, a transfer electrode 20 formed on the transfer channel, a light shielding film 24 having an opening 24a in a region corresponding to the light receiver 5 for light-shielding the transfer channel 7, and a color filter 30 disposed in the region corresponding to the light receiver 5 as the upper layer of the light shielding film 24. A distance between the transfer channel 7 of the pixel 8 and the opening 24a of the pixel 8 adjacent to the first-mentioned pixel 8 is set to be long for a pixel 8B having a relatively low sensitivity and to be short for pixels 8R and 8G having a relatively high sensitivity (d1>d2).
