PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL panel wherein light extraction efficiency is enhanced without providing a special structure and with a simple configuration requiring no complicated alignment. SOLUTION: Stripe-shaped anodes 2 are formed in parallel with each other on a glass substrate 1 so as to form a plurality of columns, and organic layers 3 including luminous layers are formed on the anodes 2 disposed in the form of an array so as to form a stripe shape in the same direction as the anodes 2. A plurality of stripe-shaped cathodes 7 are formed as metal electrodes so as to cross each of the stripe-shaped anodes 2. An insulating film 4 and an insulating film 6 are provided between adjacent stripe-shaped anodes 2 and between the organic layers 3. A metal layer 5 is formed so as to be held between the insulating film 4 and the insulating film 6. This metal film 5 laterally reflects diffusing light toward the cathode 7, and eventually guides it to its extracting direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
