PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cracks of the housing of a pickup device provided in a disk device from being easily generated. SOLUTION: This invention is related to the pickup device 1 provided with the housing 101 equipped with components for reading the data of media. The housing 101 is provided with bearing parts 11 and 12 corresponding to a shaft member 310 for movably supporting the housing 101, and the bearing parts 11 and 12 are provided with crack generation prevention parts 16 and 17 for preventing the crack of the housing 101 when an impact is added to the housing 101 in the state that the bearing parts 11 and 12 are equipped with the shaft member 310. The crack generation prevention parts 16 and 17 are provided with a roughly conical notched parts 16c and 17c perforated while being narrowed toward the inner parts 11n and 12n of the bearing parts 11 and 12. Thus, the occurrence of the failure that the crack is generated from the bearing parts 11 and 12 of the housing 101 is easily avoided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
