PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for detecting the abnormal status of equipment when a central processing unit(CPU) runs away, and for suppressing critical influence on the equipment. SOLUTION: The upper limit value and lower limit value of the address of a stack region 103 are preliminarily stored in a CPU 11. In a proper timing in loop processing, whether or not the value of a stack pointer 102 at that point of time is positioned between the upper limit value and the lower limit value is discriminated, and when it is not positioned, it is discriminated that the equipment is abnormal.
