摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for toner in which toner having an invariably stable volume mean particle size and a sharp particle size distribution is easily manufactured without waste, the toner being suitable to a fixing device capable of saving energy, having excellent developing property for a long period, and forming an image of high image quality. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the manufacturing method for the toner including an emulsifying and dispersing stage of obtaining emulsified liquid by mixing an organic solvent composition containing a binder resin and a coloring agent at least in an organic solvent with a water type medium and applying shearing force to the mixed liquid, the manufacturing method for toner for electrostatically charged image developer being characterized in that the volume mean particle size of toner particles present in the emulsified liquid obtained when the weight ratio of the organic solvent composition and water type medium in the mixed liquid is varied within a range of 60:40 to 20:80 is measured and the emulsifying and dispersing stage is carried out within a range of the weight ratio [%] of the organic solvent composition such that the relation between the weight ratio [%] of the organic solvent composition to all the mixed liquid and the volume mean particle size under fixed shearing force conditions is -6.0 to +6.0 (μm/%).
