PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift range change-over device 1 utilizing electronic control to intervene between the shift range change-over operation of a crew and the shift range change-over action of an automatic transmission 2, thus enabling the crew to recognize that he has performed hazardous change-over operation. SOLUTION: An ECU 5 of the shift range change-over device 1 functions as a change-over inhibition determining means for determining whether change-over operation from a first range to a second range corresponds to inhibited operation previously inhibited during change-over operation from the first range as one of a plurality of shift ranges to the second range different from the first range. Furthermore, the ECU 5 functions as a hazard-reporting means for reporting that the change-over operation is hazardous, when the change-over operation being performed with a vibration motor 10 mounted on an operation lever 6 is determined as corresponding to the inhibited operation.
