PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device, capable of correctly performing brake control, while protecting a system when a brake control actuator is in a high temperature state. SOLUTION: An estimated value of temperature of the brake control actuator before an ignition switch is put off is memorized, and time data at that time is also memorized. Time elapsed till the ignition switch is changed from OFF to ON is determined based on the time data when the ignition switch is put ON again. If the memorized estimated value of temperature is to be used as it is, or not to be used is determined based on the time elapsed. Restarting of estimation of temperature from the memorized estimated value of temperature in spite that the brake control actuator is cooled can thus be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
